The Gnomes actually started under a few different names…most notably the PTI Isoptopes.  Rob Balentine and Ken Paulsen began the journey in the Sunday 18a division of the San Diego Adult Baseball Association (SDABL).  After a number of years in this division, the decision was made to take the core group of guys and move up to 28AA.  The move was official in the Spring of 2008.

Now as the Gnomes (named after our team sponsor), we continue in the 28AA division.  After tasting the playoffs in the Fall 2008 season with a 4-6 record, we surged ahead in Spring 2009 finishing 13-4, one game shy of the championship at Tony Gwynn Stadium. 

We will be playing in the Fall 2009 season.
